I’ve always been a big supporter of the military. My grandfather served in the Navy during WWII and I was an ‘Army Brat’ when my father served stateside during the Vietnam War.
Nowadays, I have an even bigger interest in supporting our troops. I’m an ‘Army Mom’. One daughter is in the Army Reserves and the other is dating (it’s serious) a young man who is finishing up his Army basic training at Fort Leonard Wood as we speak. Additionally, all four of my children were heavily involved in JROTC in High School, so several of their close friends are also serving in the military.
Which brings me to the purpose of this page…a place dedicated to organizations that support our troops.
I encourage you to join me in offering support to these groups through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or simply by following their activities on places like Twitter and Facebook. Each action no matter how small helps to show our troops we are thinking of them.
